Ladakh

Where the road meets the sky

A motorcycle journey through some of the highest motorable roads in the world. From the treacherous Zojila Pass to the serene Namika La, every mile was an adventure. The barren landscapes of Ladakh hold a raw, untouched beauty that no photograph can fully capture — but these come close.

Uttarakhand

Dev Bhoomi — Land of the Gods

From the sacred temple of Kedarnath nestled beneath towering peaks to the first Indian village of Mana at the Indo-Tibetan border, Uttarakhand is where spirituality meets raw Himalayan beauty. The Chopta trek offered meadows that stretched endlessly, and the river valleys left me speechless.

Varanasi

The eternal city on the Ganges

The oldest living city in the world — where life and death coexist on the same ghats, where the evening aarti lights up the river, and where sitting on a rooftop watching boats drift along the Ganges feels like watching time itself flow by. Varanasi doesn't just stay with you — it changes you.

Meghalaya

The abode of clouds

Meghalaya is a world apart — deep green valleys, crystal-clear rivers where you can count every pebble on the riverbed, and the famous living root bridges crafted by nature and human patience over centuries. This is Northeast India at its most magical.

Goa

Sun, sand & serenity

Goa is that perfect escape — where the Arabian Sea crashes against golden shores, palm trees sway with the evening breeze, and every sunset feels like the best one yet. Beach hopping, seafood feasts, and the kind of laid-back energy that makes you forget the world exists beyond the coastline.

Odisha

Where stone speaks history

Odisha is an open-air museum of India's architectural brilliance. The Sun Temple at Konark, with its intricate stone wheel carvings, the towering Jagannath Temple in Puri, and the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar — each structure tells a story of devotion, art, and craftsmanship that has endured for centuries.

Himachal Pradesh

Where every sunset is a masterpiece

Himachal is that familiar warmth — chai with a view, colorful hill towns buzzing after dark, and sunsets that paint the entire sky gold. From the lively streets of McLeodganj to serene mountain vistas with snow-capped Dhauladhar ranges, this is where the mountains feel like home.

Jammu

Faith carved into mountains

The spiritual journey to Vaishno Devi and the misty mountain trails of Patnitop — Jammu is where devotion meets nature's grandeur. The illuminated trail snaking up the mountain at night is a sight that stays with you forever.

Kuala Lumpur

Where tradition meets tomorrow

The first international stamp on the passport — and what a way to start! The Petronas Twin Towers lighting up the night sky, the KL skyline from a high-rise window, and the infectious energy of a city that seamlessly blends Malay, Chinese, and Indian cultures. Kuala Lumpur proved that the compass doesn't stop at Indian borders.

The Story Behind the Blog

CompassWithChai started as a simple idea — documenting travels across India and beyond, one destination at a time, fueled by endless cups of chai and an insatiable curiosity for the road less traveled.

From motorcycle rides through the world's highest passes in Ladakh to discovering living root bridges in Meghalaya, from seeking blessings at Kedarnath to standing beneath the glowing Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur — every journey has been a chapter worth remembering.

This blog is a collection of those chapters. No filters, no itineraries — just real moments from real travels.
